GENERAL INFO
Kick Back Tikis offers several different tour packages available for purchase. Prices are based on tour duration, destination, and tour availability. Every tour has additional options available for purchase onboard like branded clothing and apparel.
Most of our tours are two hours long. If there is not a scheduled trip after your trip, you can talk to your captain about extending your trip for an additional fee.
We have two tiki boats. Our little tiki boat has a max of 6 passengers, while our larger tiki boat can accommodate up to 18 passengers. Between the two boats, we can accommodate up to 24 passengers. Unfortunately, we have absolutely no flexibility in the capacity of the boats due to federal regulations regarding boats for hire.
Everyone! Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied with a parent / guardian. Anyone under the age of 21 will not be allowed to drink any alcoholic beverage while aboard our vessels, in our parking lots, or during any part of the tour. Children age 12 or younger will be required to wear a USCG approved life jacket for the duration of the tour per NJ state law.
Our tiki boats are docked in Wildwood, NJ . The boats are in a new location this upcoming year, and we will be releasing details about that soon.
Yes, our tiki boats undergo a Vessel Safety Check with the United States Coast Guard. Our vessel has all necessary safety and precautionary equipment that is prescribed by Federal and State laws.
WHAT TO KNOW, BEFORE YA GO
The Kick Back Tiki crew requests that patrons arrive 15 minutes early prior to the scheduled departure time. This 15 minute buffer will allow patrons to settle themselves on the vessel, sign release of liability waivers (if necessary), and to listen to your captain go over very important emergency, safety, and general rules to follow while on your tiki cruise. We are unable to provide extra time if patrons are running late.
All of our trips will be operated by a United States Coast Guard Licensed captain.
Yes, please! Our captains and crews work very hard before, during and after your tours. Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and making sure everyone has a great time are just some of the tasks they must do to guarantee that everything is perfect for your trip. A 20% tip paid directly to your captain or crew is standard. We recommend this so that they can continue allowing the world to KICK BACK one tiki tour at a time.
Yes! We want to provide you with the perfect tiki tour that enables you to relax and enjoy the company that you have around you. We encourage all of our patrons to relax, the way they want to, and enjoy any alcoholic beverages, responsibly. If your captain suspects that anyone on your trip has compromised safety as a result of intoxication, the trip will be canceled with no possible refunds.
Yes! You may bring your own snacks, drinks, and alcoholic drinks. There is plenty of counter / bar space aboard the boats for whatever you bring. On board, there are large coolers stocked with ice. You are more than welcome to use our cooler to hold whatever beverages or cold food that you have.
No! The tiki boats are equipped with a rockin’ stereo system. Control your trip’s own music via Bluetooth or choose from one of our company’s “Captain n’ Crew” curated playlists. The choice is yours!
Kick Back Tiki will cruise rain or shine and the boats' thatched tiki roofs will do a good job to keep you dry and protected. However, in the event that we need to cancel your trip due to weather, a gift card will be issued.
ABOUT THE BOATS
We have most of it covered! Your trip will be two hours, so we ask that you only pack the essentials. Drinks, snacks, sunscreen (no spray-kind please), sunglasses, IDs, and phones are some suggestions.
Yes! We designed our tiki boats with customer well-being in mind. There is nothing worse than being stuck on a booze cruise and needing to use the bathroom. To ensure the bathrooms are consistently operational, we ask, "if it's brown, wait for town!"
All forms of smoking and open flames are prohibited on our vessels. No one will be permitted to smoke once on board one of the tiki boats.
We do not allow fishing from the tiki boats. However, our captains are all avid fisherman and can provide you with suggestions on fishing charters in the area or even give you suggestions on fishing from the surf!
NO! Whether or not you have a prescription, THC in any form is not permitted on any vessel per United States Coast Guard law. We have ZERO flexibility on this matter as our captains could face suspensions of their license if you board the vessel with drugs. If our captains determine you have brought drugs on board, your trip will be suspended immediately, and you will be dropped at the nearest dock. Leave it at home, please.
Our two hour tours typically follow a nonstop route along the Intercoastal waterway in Wildwood, NJ. Patrons will be allowed to swim from our tiki boats only when the captain has anchored the vessel, turned the engine off, and has okayed that you can get in the water. Permission to leave the vessel at any point during your tour is at the complete discretion of the captain.
No, not really. However, when you are on a boat, things can definitely get wet. We recommend an open toe sandal or flip flop that you won't mind getting damp.
